Family Picnic and Musical Adventure Part of Summer Lineup at Huse Print
Tuesday, 24 June 2008

Nothing says summer like pie-eating contests, three-legged races, live music, and family fun. The Sagadahoc Community Justice Project is celebrating summer with a special schedule for Adventures at Huse, featuring a family picnic and musical adventure.

On July 19 familes enjoyed the Downeast Family Picnic featuring the Nor'easters Barbershop Chorus, family races, free desserts, and a pie-eating contest.

August 2nd is The Huse Musical Adventure, a free family music event from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., featuring The DrumConnection Maine, Kuluba; The Roberts; Tony's Zumba - Latin Dance; and more live music

All activities are free and are held at the Huse School, 39 Andrews Road, in Bath.

The fall season for Adventures at Huse starts Sept. 6th with Fairy Tales and Houses, storytelling and house construction, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Other fall highlights include scrapbooking and cardmaking on Oct. 4, and the Woodside One Wheelers juggling workshop and performance on Dec. 6.

Saturday Adventures at Huse is part an overall effort of the Sagadahoc Community Justice Project, in partnership with the Bath School Department and Volunteers of America Northern New England, to facilitate out-of-school activities for youth and families at the Huse School. All activities are free and open to any age. Children must be accompanied by an adult during all Saturday Adventures at Huse.
